Alto’s Odyssey: The Lost City Is Now Available on Apple Arcade
Alto’s Odyssey: The Lost City is now available on Apple Arcade! It’s time to dust off your sandboard and join Alto and friends as they embark on a new chapter of their journey through the endless desert.
Whether you are new to the Alto community or have been playing the games for years, we hope this special edition of Alto’s Odyssey brings you delight with each new discovery. In addition to a never-before-seen location, players will also come across fresh challenges that will test their skills, elevating the core experience of the game like never before.
Perhaps no one is more thrilled about this release than the team members who have been building the Alto series since day one. When it comes to bringing Alto’s Odyssey: The Lost City to Apple Arcade, Lead Programmer and Artist Harry Nesbitt says, “This was a unique opportunity for us to bring our classic game to a whole new audience, while also taking the time to add some new secrets and surprises for players to discover.”
As it turns out, some of these new secrets and surprises were originally meant to be part of the game but didn’t make it into the classic version! Team Alto producer Jair McBain adds, “Being able to pick some of those ideas back up and bring them to life, in a way that wasn’t possible during the original development process, feels like realising the truest vision of the project today.” In a way, The Lost City was always hiding beneath the endless desert.
Snowman’s Ryan Cash shares, “The Alto series has always been about capturing that feeling of getting out in nature, exploring an unknown environment and following one’s passion for discovery. At a time when we may not be able to fulfil this desire in the real world, we hope players may find some sense of adventure in The Lost City.”
With an Apple Arcade subscription, you can explore Alto’s Odyssey: The Lost City on any of your Apple devices. For iOS players who have already spent time with the original game, you can optionally transfer your progress over to The Lost City so you can pick up right where you left off.
It’s an amazing feeling to be able to reach new players on a platform like Apple Arcade, and even more special to be sharing a new release with longtime players who have made this all possible. Thank you for joining us in celebrating this monumental next step for the Alto series.
